Ripping Chains are specially designed for use with portable chain saw mills where it is necessary to cut with the grain of the timber rather than across it.

This chain has a special ripping application grind for turning larger timber into boards and planks. Use this chain on chain-type sawmills. It is not recommended for hand-held use.
